In-home C-Section Scar Release Care

After attending the fabulous training by Madelaine Longrigg from Body Lane I have been inspired by her groundbreaking technique of the C-Section Scar Release Method and I am thrilled to offer this to our community here in northern Tasmania.

This is a revitalising c-section scar treatment done in home where I bring the table, towels, balm, Gua Sha and my magic massage hands all to you! Please check out the below table for what your appointment will include;

  • After pregnancy and surgery the breath can be impacted. My goal is to optimise the 360 degree breath.
    The breath is the best (and only) way to keep the scar mobile from the inside out. How cool is that!

  • If you feel comfortable with it we can take a photo of the abdomen including your scar before we do your treatment. We can also take one on the table to check out how the breath is moving through the abdomen. Then we can take a photo afterwards to see the impact of the C-section scar release method.

  • This is a slow, firm and precise style of massaging that targets scar release beautifully.

  • The beauty of this care is the multi layer treatments that together have fabulous results. Adding the cupping and the gua sha blade really has a strong impact on “the shelf”, Lumpy tissue, desensitisation and swelling.

FAQs about the c-section scar release treatment:

  • I suggest beginning scar treatment 8 weeks after your surgery, once the area has fully healed and there are no signs of scabbing or infection. It's also important that you feel comfortable with the area being touched. My treatment process is designed to be nurturing and grounding.

  • Yes, there is nothing more that I love then giving my clients the tools and education to keep doing their selfcare after our time has come to a close.

  • My thoughts are YES! I perform a comprehensive full-body and breath assessment, as this can be influenced by the surgery. With c-section scars, it’s important to note that many of the restrictions are a result of the pregnancy, not just the surgery.

  • Never! The C-section scar release treatment can be super effective years after surgery. I would still encourage you to book an appointment and see the difference in your body after the release.

  • Of course it is amazing work. Please head to the body Lane website where Maddie has a directory of all the practitioners Australia and New Zealand wide who have completed her training.
